A Personal Message from Donna Toneatti, CHW
A mother and grandmother, I am a third-generation native Vermonter with a passion for photography. Wandering the hills and valleys in search of the perfect nature or wildlife shot is something I truly love. An added plus is the opportunity to forage for edible and medicinal plants along the way, just as my grandmother and great-grandmother did before me.
With over twenty-five years as a former educator in the Vermont public schools, I have a love for reading and consider any day a good day if I learn something new from either books or conversations with others.
As an artist working in many different mediums, I have a deep appreciation for creating and thoroughly enjoy the original work of others. I hope someday to aspire to their level of expertise. Always a collector of historical items too numerous to mention, I find the personal histories behind each one fascinating. I often use them in presenting programs that highlight the history of our amazing world!
I am delighted to take on the role of the new Community Program Facilitator for the Abenaki Nation of Missisquoi. It is my sincere hope that my skills and hard work will directly benefit the upcoming programs and the continued success of the tribe as a whole. I welcome your input in making that goal a reality and look forward to getting to know and appreciate each and every one of you!
