Abenaki Nation Of Missisquoi is holding an event on the Missisquoi River

Where:    Route 78 West Swanton. (Louie’s Landing to Max’ s Bend, down the 1 mile road)

Paddling in the river                                    Live Animals, Birds

Drumming (Circle of Courage), Edible Plant demonstration, self-guided hike, Take a ride in the Voyager Canoe, Stories, crafts, and more.. Lunch by donation.  You must pre-register to ride in the canoe, this is required as space is limited. Register at www.northernforestcanoetrail.org. Paddling starts at 10:30 and runs through the afternoon!

What a wonderful job these kids did on the clean up of invasive Knotweed, building the new beds and filling them with soil!!

We were able to distribute to 36 families, 2 for the yard at the Tribal Office and 2 for the Swanton Ball Field Community Gardens. The cedar garden beds, soil and gift certificates were made possible by the Harris and Francis Block Foundation Grant!
