Please Help Us To Feed Our Community!
The overall mission of the Abenaki Food Pantry – through our nonprofit: Maquam Bay of Missisquoi is to help fight food insecurity in our tribal community and in the surrounding neighboring communities.
You do not need to be a Native American to access our pantry – All are welcome!
At the height of the Covid Pandemic the need for food assistance grew four-fold over the previous years. Thankfully, due to your generous donations then, we were able to accommodate that increase in need and provide adequate food assistance to the community-at-large. Today, that need continues to be urgent, with inflation higher than it’s been for decades, increasing living expenses including rent, groceries, heating and electricity at astronomical highs; we again, really need your help – your generous donations that will provide assistance to those in dire straits. We need to raise funding to cover our operational expenses and mostly to enable us to acquire adequate supplies of fresh and non-perishable foods for our community. We kindly and humbly ask for your donation in the form of financial assistance through online donation, check or money order mailed to: Maquam Bay of Missisquoi  100 Grand Ave, Swanton, VT 05488.

Checks should be made payable to Abenaki Food Pantry
in care of Debbie Dubois Lavoie.

We also accept donations of fresh and non-perishable food throughout the year. They can be dropped off
at our tribal office Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00-2:00. We always can use turkeys and other items for holiday meals during the fall/winter. Please contact Debbie at: (802) 868-6255 to arrange for a drop-off date/time. All donations are appreciated!

If you are a community member who could use some assistance – also please contact us.

On behalf of our community, we thank you for your support!
